Advertising and affiliate links
This site uses affiliate advertising. If you follow a labelled link and buy or sign up, we may earn a commission through Awin. That commercial relationship does not change council permit prices, calculator totals, or what you pay the partner. See also About, our verification methodology, and the Privacy Policy.
Affiliate partnerships
We are a publisher on the Awin affiliate network (Awin Ltd). The live partner on council pages is YourParkingSpace. Those offers sit after the verified tariff table, for people who cannot get a permit or are on a waiting list.
If you click through and complete a qualifying action with YourParkingSpace, Awin may pay us a commission. Permit prices on this site are always sourced from official council tariffs. Affiliate links never change a published cell, a calculated quote, or the price the partner charges you.
How we label affiliate content
UK advertising rules (ASA/CAP) and the CMA's guidance on hidden ads require commercial content to be obviously identifiable. Each affiliate box is marked with a visible Ad label next to the heading, and carries the line Affiliate link: we may earn a commission underneath. Outbound links use rel="sponsored noopener" so browsers and crawlers treat them as sponsored.
Affiliate boxes appear after the council tariff table — not inside tariff tables, calculator totals, the Cost Index headline area, or structured data. We do not hide the commercial relationship.
Cookies and the consent banner
YourParkingSpace boxes on council pages always include a text headline, a short description, and a labelled click-through link. Following that link is a navigation you choose — it does not load Awin until you click.
Awin banner images (from awin1.com) stay off until you accept the Advertising category in the Google Funding Choices consent banner (CMP) — the same category that already gates AdSense. If you reject Advertising, or make no choice, the page does not request Awin images or pixels. After you accept, the banners are swapped in. Your choice is stored by Funding Choices and can be changed from Cookie preferences in the footer.
If you click the affiliate link, you go via Awin's tracking URL to YourParkingSpace. Awin may then set cookies or similar identifiers so it can attribute the click and any later purchase. Those are advertising / marketing cookies. Essential cookies are separate; they are needed for the site to work. You can also block third-party cookies in your browser.
Google AdSense display ads are prepared on some templates but are not live. AdSense ad requests stay paused until you make a choice in the consent banner. You can reopen that banner from Cookie preferences in the footer or from the Privacy Policy.
Display advertising
Google AdSense is prepared in some templates (AdSense status: Getting ready) but display advertisements are not live. That is separate from the live Awin affiliate boxes described above.
